Hi All,

I have a 120L tank with 2 x 20w bulbs, how do i work out my watts per gallon?

Also i dont have room for any more tubes in the lid, what other lights can i add to change the watts per gallon? Maybe halogen spotlights or summit???

Your tank is about 32 gallons, and you have a total of 40w, so you have 40/32 wpg = 1.25wpg

I'm not sure about your second question, never had much luck wiht a planted tank

so when you work out wpg you use us gallons?

Try reflectors or simply tape tin foil onto cardboard to give extra light.
