Lighting Question

posted this this morning in the plants section but no one replied yet. thought id try this section as i usually get replies quite quick here

i've got a 65 gallon tank from big als that came with a light fixture that i would like to know if its any good for lots of live plants. ive got 2 amazon swords that i bought as a test and they have done extremely well but i want diff plants now as well ... its a cora life fixture with 2 little thin bulbs in it one that says "6700K F21-T5-BP" and the other one which is a light pink like color light when its on says "COLORMAX-F21-T5-BP"
are these any good for live plants. i probably wont do co2 for a while but i could by some ferts... any recommendations to make it better as well are cool.... thanks

Those should be fine. Those lights are called power compact lighting. The 6700k bulb will grow plants well. I am unsure about the other but it should be fine too.

It sounds like you have a daylight type spectrum, the 6700K and a plant light, the one that looks pink. These should be fine for growing plants. All you need to do now is find the wattage on each bulb and compare the total lighting wattage to your tank capacity. That will give you some idea of what light level you have so you can estimate what plants will do best in that light.

i was trying to figure out how much wattage they are but it doesn't say on the bulb i dont think.... and i threw out the box.... i thought forsure it would say on the bulb...oh well i guess ill just buy some plants tomarrow and see how that goes . thank you
