My light and co2 are set for 8 hours a day co2 an hour before light

My question

If i set the lights and co2 to be on for 12 hours on a weekend could this cause problems ?

Cheers for the help

I wouldn't say it would cause problems per say, I think you'd suffer from algae issues though.

Thats my concern just dont lije looking at a dark tank om a weekend haha

Have you thought about some moonlights or getting a light setup that allows you to have a couple of tubes on at different times? Then you can spread the light throughout the day.

I agree with Lunar, Some cheap blue LEDs would do wonders if you wanted to go down that path.

10 hours max really, some people go longer with no probs but your plants will be used to their daily amount of light so I'd keep it uniform, stick to the same all week otherwise once the plants are in their closing stage for the day the extra light, ferts and CO2 will just be spent growing algae spores, if you decide to up it the weekend keep it the same all week.
