Falling of scales can be also due to parasites. If the fish was darting aswell I would keep an eye out for parasites.
Get a magifying glass and take a closer look at your fish.
Red pink prick marks and red sores can also be a sign of parasites, and excess slime.

Also look in to tb symtoms and keep a close eye on the fish for signs.

Thanks, for that. Have been looking into TB and they haven't got most of the symptoms so hopefully not that! Will take a closer look in a minute though although another fish now has a large bloated stomach so not looking too good there

Bloated fish died last night I'm currently treating with anti-internal bacteria treatment so am hoping that helps!

Another fish just died. This time a Zebra Danio. It was hanging around the top of the tank when I got in from work looking very lethargic so I knew something was up. It was breathing slightly faster than normal; the only other thing of note was that it seemed to lack colour - it's markings were faded. Not sure if this indicates something?

This is really frustrating now!

Sadly the fish sounded like they were already ill at the lfs.

Let me know how you get on with the rest of the fish.

If any other fish start to show signs, get back to the board.
