Why not try and convince your lfs to donate or sell it to the local public aquarium(sorta like what bunji said) that way, you could see him almost anytime

I would suggest that she offer it to a public aquarium, but there isn't one within a 4 hour drive of where I live and I know she wouldn't be able to do that.
