I collect wild daphnia pulex, also cultivate it and daphnia moina, i feed them on bakers / brewer's yeast or spinach both foods work well,

The water flea going in my tank currently has not been looked at closely enough for ID. Today I will make a few pulls with plankton tow net to up culture a bit. My culture feeds on a phytoplankton bloom driven by sunlight and chicken manure.

I have roughly 150. separated 70 of the largest ones giving the smaller ones a chance to compete for the food
