Least Favorite Fish

i personally dont like plecos, and dont see what is so appealing about them. i dont find them pleasing to the eye and they dont seem to do anything...but that is just my opinion of course, and i understand other might have different views.

Could'nt have said it better myself IMO

Least favorite I've had is the Chinese Algae Eater. Lived the longest and was by far the dullest fish I've had.

He'd sit in a cave all day, never come out during the day, would run at the first sign of movement, would harass others, and was lame. I don't even think they look that good.

CheesyFeet, its been suggested that the reason many people dislike snakes, spiders etc. is an inbuilt mechanism from humanities less advanced days. Ie. when we slept in the wild and were more likely to be sharing our bed space with a snake than finding a home for them. That said, i have no idea about it myself, can't remember where i read it. Personally i love snakes, my brothers mexican king died about a year back. Just to make the point its not necessarily ignorance why they are so commonly hated/feared.
Umm... I like neon tetras the least, i just find them so common its boring.

Lol,however there is not one person who i have not convinced into liking snakes, lizards or atleast tthe 'look' of spiders.Interesting theory though.

Almost all livebearers, except the 'non-livebearer-y' ones like rays... Even the pike one is, to be honest, just a giant poncy guppy.

Goldfish, mainly fancies- I can live with commons, comets and fantails but not much else.

I'm not a fan of cories. Boring...

Tetras are generally pants.

Hybrids, unless done for study purposes as opposed to 'they look nice'.

I'd have to go with plecos, they just don't interest me and their eyes kind of creep me out.

My least favourite fish are all fish when they are dead. I think living fish are ace.

Perhaps the title of this thread should be changed to 'fish you just don't get (understand)'.

For me it's colorful schooling fish; I.E. Tetras, Guppies, etc. My wife keeps asking me when are we going to get some colorful fish for our tank. I just think they're boring. I usually give her an excuse about them being incompatible or the tank being overstocked. Heck I got dwarf rainbows and even they're pretty boring.

To be honest i would say Chinese Algae Eaters... They start small and they do a great job at eating all the algae but then they get aggressive and attack all your fish!!! Thats just DUMB!

and Balloon mollys and balloon anything!!!

Bubble eyed goldfish. They just look so freaky, almost cartoon like. I think thats one reason why overbreeding of a species isn't a good thing.

I'd probably agree with CAE. Mine has caused me a lot of hassle. Still, He's got a little bit of character (when he's not hiding!)

Last, probably Neon Tetras. I think they are the industry standard tropical starter fish. I've never had any and probably won't ever.

Theres probably more but my knowledge is limited and I've only kept a few species so far :)

bettas guppies mollies and angels neons
I can't keep any of these alive to save my life. I bring these easy to keep fish home and they die. Don't get it, I mean come on how many people do you know can't keep a guppy alive. Its like a curse

I hate mollies and bettas, i'd rather give up fish keeping forever than keep them.
