Leaky Tank

right my big tank is leaking lucky no fish were in it, but still made the bathroom a bit wet. if i was to reseal it would i need to remove most of the old silicon first ? also my lfs re seals tank and will charge £35 per hour? has any body else used there lfs for this?

depends really on just how bad it is?
i would be inclined to either remove old and reseal or buy a new if its bad,
similar to sealing a bath or shower- i always remove the old and lay down a fresh, ensuring first its bone dry

well it was quite bad was comming from the bottom under the base surport, so i gess i better seal the outside too? 260lt makes quite a big puddle. lol
