i ordered some hornwort from eBay and found a worm around half the size of my finger nail (however has the ability to exceed this when stretching itself) and feared it might be some kind of leech or parasite. Is it possible that it could be some kind of leach and could it harm my fish?

I also found this jelly like orb attached to my hornwort and has some rigidity to It and I’m unable to pull it off (I’ve lost it so I wasn’t able to take a pic)

Does the worm thing have a sucker mouth?
If yes, then it's a little leech and they can attach themselves to fish.

Clear blobs of jelly like things on plants are normally snail eggs and should be removed.
