Well here is the last scan we will get, 30 weeks.......30 long female hormone rolercoaster weeks heh heh, Ive got a cheek, at least my angel of a wife has an excuse, Im no prize at the best of times.

I still hasnt sunk in that I could create something so beautifull.

Without further adoo, here is a scan of the side of the babies face, you can make out the shape of the babies face with the forehead at the right hand side a wee hand is up beside babies head. I have to stop myself calling the baby a she, I dont know why but since day one Ive just had a feeling its a baby girl, for a girl I'd always wanted the name Jessica (although thats out the window now I think.....the boys name is set in stone but if its a girl she'll probably be at university before we settle on her name!). Jude knew this and when we were driving back from the doctors the morning we found out for a sure a dedication came on the radion from a guy dedicating a song to "his daugter Jessica"....we both looked at eachother and said "Heh heh, thats spooky".

I did have a dream two nights ago that the baby was a boy (in which case it would be Findlay James) but I dont pay attention to my dreams as they are usually a load of pish and mean hee haw, like the other dream where baby was born not as a baby but as just a hand with 'Mr.Potatoe Head' style facial fixtures.

.......but it was a girl in that dream, I know that from the comic style large 'betty boop' style eye lashes.....anyway Im going way off the topic here.

Out of interest if anyone studies dreams etc perhaps they could anylize my crazy 'Mrs Potatoe Head' dream.....feel free, I also have a reoccuring 'shoe polishing dream'....often leaving me waking with a feeling of disapointment as I slowly begin to realise that I havent infact polished my shoes atall.

Seriously.....help me.

awe my boyf is going to hate you for posting that pic, making me all brooding again. With my first daughter i did't find out till i was 28 weeks, so my first scan looked like that one lol.
All the best for the months to come, and please post pics as soon as you can after the birth, ooh you've got me all excited now

oooo little person in there  how extremely exciting ! It's like baby boom city around me. (Just about) every around me is pregnant or have babies !

ohh it's so beautiful - I'm so broody. Congrats again.

Big Mick I think you might have just eaten too much cheese before bed - I's the only explanation that doesn't mean your a little bit hee haw yourself :D

by the way I love the name Jessica - why don't you want it now?

I do eat alot of cheese mind.

Jude started thinking againts the name Jessica as it was named in the paper as the most popular name at the moment (I cant think of any famouse Jessica's other than that sh*t for brains Jessica Simpson) so we started looking at alternatives.

Jude likes Willow but that just reminds me of that dwarf in that rubbish film

#### you ####s

???

Ooh this is so exciting! congrats on the smooth progression, just a little bit more, three quarters of the way done!

Naturally, most of us spend time in an "I want another" form of suspended animation, until ours won't go to bed for the third night in a row, and then you're glad you just have one to deal with

Mine is 3 now and he's started correcting me as well:

Me: "Pass me that towel please baby"
Him "I'm not a baby mommy, I'm Dylan!"

:-(

Congratulations, and we'll be waiting to find out what you get! Oh and I thought of another Jessica - Frank Spencer's daughter.
Call her Autumn, I love that name

Congrats! :hooray:

How about Jessica Tandy or Jessica Savitch?

I actually quite like the name Autumn, we have decided on Murron for a girl (like the woman in braveheart), we decided on it ages before we knew we were having a baby and totally forgot about it. It is the female version of the old scotts boys name Mirren which means 'from the sea'......still a middle name to decide on though.

.....then we have got the wedding to stress about but we have decided on music to walk down the aisle to, its Enigma-Deep Forrest (thoes able should down load it now......such a powerfull piece of music and used in the film 'Last of the Mohechians')

Very cool! I got to hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time today. :) Got to see it on an ultrasound at 12 weeks but only got to hear it today (16 weeks). My next checkup at 20 weeks we'll get to see "her" again on ultrasound and maybe find out if "her" is accurate or not.

Just think, if she goes overdue she'll probably get more ultrasounds like I did. 'Course, it's funner just to get to see the baby than have friends continually going "you're STILL pregnant?!!!"

Awww cant wait to see pics of the little bundle of joy when he/she arrives! Making me broody too although it doesnt take much now as most of the people I know are now expecting or have given birth!

Congratulations, what makes you think the baby is a girl at 16 weeks? a gut feeling or a hope?

Probably a bit of both. My first child I prayed for a boy and was blessed with the same but before I knew for sure "he" just kept coming out of my mouth without even thinking about it. Now, though I think it would be fun for Gabe to have a baby brother or a sister, yet "she" just keeps coming out of my mouth without even thinking. Now, I'm not lost in thinking I'm for sure having a girl, if it's a boy I won't be devastated or anything. Even if the ultrasound shows a girl I'm not going to be sold on it until he or she is in my arms, but hey, I've got a 50/50 chance that my gut feeling is right. :D Not to mention that it's just fun to toy with the thought that I'll have a little baby girl with red hair like me. Double :D :D !

Sometimes, too, I think that when I have a drastic change of mind (like I used to want two boys so bad and now I'm more thrilled with the thought that it's a girl) it's with God's help so that when He gives me something unexpected I'm pleased and not disappointed.

Hey Big Mick, settled on a name yet? How's the countdown coming? Had my ultrasound yesterday and it turns my "her" feelings were spot on, not a boy part in sight. Now we've got to get down to business on the name game. Already have a boy name set aside but girl names seem harder for us.
