First problem in ages

One of my large peppered cory has what looks like a white hole on the top of it's head just behind the eye.

It's pure white around the hole with no redness.

Was buzzing around just now and feeding. Sorry no photo yet but maybe later.

Disease or injury do you think?....no aggresive fish in the tank

Hard to say without a photo I'm afraid Dorsy. Hopefuly it is just an injory though, and it will heal itself. Do a few extra waterchanges untill you know what it is, to hopefuly avoid bacterial infection if this is an injory :good:

All the best

Cheers for that, not too much up on diseases so hopefully it is an injury, can deal with that. Water change scheduled for the morning :good:

Well, if it's true "hole in the head disease" then that's a parasite problem.

Post a picture and I'm sure the gurus here can recommend which meds to use.

Good luck.

Hole in the head starts off a pitting, or red spots that turn into a hole.
How deep is the wound.
Also with hole in the head you can sometimes see a yellow wormy thing in the hole.

OMG it died!

Wow that was quick.......first death for years

Better keep an eye on the rest, look ok for now.

Thanks to all that tried to help :good:
