Large(ish) Show Fish...

If you want to go the planted discus root you will need alot of money :shifty:

Discus - might stretch the wallet at the mo!

Silver sharks - just had to exchange 6 of them.

Geo's - interesting!

Cardinals - have some in the community tank - poss big shoal if wallet permits.

Thinking :

A group of

Plus large angels.

and maybe silver dollars.

:X

Geophagus species would go well with the Denisonii barbs, actually. :) You don't have to worry about angel agression with them.

But I'm partial to Geophagus species... :shifty:

god i want that black fish. Is it a paratilapia polleni, madagascan cichlid, if so it grows to 30cm so not sure what size tank it would need. I feel a bigger tank coming on. Now that would be a nice centerpiece fish, probably eat everything else in tank at that size though, but it would look good in your tank if its big enough.
Bet you can`t get hold of them easy though. How about a group of frontosa`s they are nice looking fish
Angel

I second the pearl gouramis. They are really very pretty.

Some other ideas:
Giant danios (bigger and school)
Rainbows (very colorful, not too big, but school)
Angels (don't school)
Discus (expensive)

The other thing I think is really nice are well planted tanks with a large school of a particular fish - say cardinals or some other smaller tetra. Very peaceful and nice too look at.

Haven't really thought about Pearl gouramis : Hmm they are pretty though, maybe 10 - 15, Hmmm..... :)

Angels - looking very likely at the mo, BIG ones, yes! - maybe Altum's if I can find them...

Shoal of these might be in the offing :
