Hi Guys,
I put a topic on here a while ago about building levels in your aquascape. Zig briefly replied about using tights so i went out and baught some.
I have to say, they are absolutely fantastic to use!! All you do it fill them with gravel and tight and cut both ends to make like sausages or little bags. They mould really well and sculpt very easily. Also if you get a light coloured cheap pair (£1.50 for 4 pairs at Tesco!!!) they are very transparent when in the tank and look quite natural, almost invisable when you have some loose substrate on top and certainly when its planted upon.
It is really nice if you have any tank corners showing as i have. You can mould one into the corner and it just brings it into a gentle slope! You can also stack them up like into a wall and build levels!
I have even used mine for riccia and netted some on it! ALthough to be fair i need to redo that and tighten the hair net on it more.
Anyway, just wanted to share the idea and would like feedback if anyone else tries it. I will post pictures very soon.
Chris
