Hi I have just started looking into these but cant find too much info for them - has anyone kept them at all? I think I could get hold of a small group quite easily.
 
Does anyone know much about them?

I don't know too much about them, but I do know that they are fairly carnivorous unlike most other similarly sized Plecos so be sure to feed them a meaty food as well as flakes/algae wafers.

Treat them pretty much like most of the other b&w Xingu Hypancistru. They tend to like warmer water, good oxygenation and eat a varied diet balance towards the meaty side. Give them caves and rock and wood cover and they will do great. I know a few folks who keep and spawn them though I have not so far. But I do now, or have in the past, kept other Xingu Hypans.
