My new pair of kribensis are spawning and i was wondering why do the female kribensis rub there bellies on the sand when they are displaying for the males thanks from Tom

I am unaware of that being part of the breeding display for Kribensis. It is possible she is infected and "itching" the infection, or she is in a great hurry to lay eggs. Kribensis are great parents, very protective and caring. Do note that they are cave spawners, and her rubbing may be a sign of stress if she is not laying eggs in a cave.

I'm pretty sure it is part of there display as this female has done it and the female I had for a year before would do it every time she spawned and yep they have 3 caves in there tank to chose from and my old kribensis were not good parents they had 6 batches of eggs and ate them all from Tom
