Kribensis Advice Needed.

Yeah, its a male. He dosent look that colored up to me.

Yea he seems to fade alot.
The female has coloured up the male hasn't

Maybe he doesn't like her?

Well, if they are flirting, then yeah, he likes her. Kribensis are weird though. It seems to be more of the females decision, than the males. The females choose who is best suited, and the males jump head over heel for her. So, if she shows intrest in them, they are a pair. Males dont color up always. Some males just stay bland, others look like they were fed color enhancing flakes.

The female has a lovely Purple area now it's so pretty! will try n snap some pics later.
Getting some Frozen Bloodworm to feed them today should boost them up a lil bit.

Thats right isn't it? Bloodworm I mean?

Honestly, Black Worms are better for Breeding, but Bloodworms will work. Or, go to the Freeze dried area, and look for Mysis Shrimp. They are 60 Percent Protien, so, they are VERY good for breeding.

Sorry to seem dumb but what does Bloodworm do for them anyway?

Just gave them some I defrosted and they went nuts for it hehe

T are high in Protien. Protien is used to make the eggs strong. So, more protien, better quality eggs.

Ah so should I give them some BW once a day?
I have also been doing 10% water changes once a day to keep the water in top condition.
Anything else I can do for them?

Turn the tank temp uip, and when you do the w/c, put in cold water.

It's currently at 26C what should I turn it up to?

80-82 degree's ( i belive that is 29-30 C ). Your water is too cold for them.

Ok I shall turn it upto 30C now.

As for the Cold water change? that standard tap cold or should add a lil heat?

What ever comes out of the tap. Just dont pour it right on the fish. It will make them think that its starting to rain, amking them want to breed.

Hmmm what about airline tube and a bucket and get it to go in slowly?
Will that work?
