I have a 55 gallon tank that is going to be heavily planted and have many rock caves. I plan on doing a African theme my plan is this:

Temp: 77
PH: 6.5-7.2

2 Kribs
4 upside down catfish
2 African Butterfly fish
8 congo tetras
8 Debawi catfish

Would that over stock my tank? Should I just do a few more congo's and no Debawi? catfish.

I was also wondering if I could possibly put a pair of mouth brooder or keyholes in the tank with the kribs? If so what would be a good type of mouth brooder that would NOT eat the fy and congo's?

actually drop the 2 African Butterfly fish off the list. Would I be able to add Bolvian Rams or maybe some shell-dwellers?

Add Congo Tetra or African Blockheads with the Kribensis add few clay pots, black sand and small plants

That’s all and don’t add anything else.

thank you

Kribensis and shell dwellers don't mix from my experience I have a Neolamprogulus Hecqui in a community tank (long story) and he and my kribs do not get along they are both very terratorial and the N.Hecqui is the winner every time against my male krib but my female will be back with her man in a couple of weeks (in the pregnancy ward with 30 fry :good: ) Kribs get along with a variety of fish however I advise you to get fish that can hold their own against aggression because breeding kribs are occasionally ruthless.
