Hi there
I introduced 4 new kribs to my tank today (alread have 6 in there).
as soon as i let thm in one of my original kribs went charging over and started chasing one of the new ones.
This has now stopped but they are acting weird.
One of them is bending itself round into a curve whenever another one comes close.
The one thas doing the bending has a red belly so im guessing thats the female????
Is this normal or should i be worried?
Thanks
Eve

you'll probably be alrite, but some might say that you've got too many kribs for a 4ft?

have you got plenty of caves in there?

Yer i have caves galore.
Some of them are going soon anyway, they are for a friend and im just housing them for them till they are ready to have them back

Yeah, at most, i would put 2 pairs in there. When she is bending , in fish talk she is saying " Hey you, look at how big and colorful my stomach is! It is full of eggs!"

Oh i didnt know that, i wasnt planning on breeding them, i just like them.
Does that mean im gonna have provs? even if theres only 6 in there?
the other 4 are going again next week

Yes you will have problems. You will get 1 or 2 pairs out of those, and they will beat up eachother, or atleast stress out the others.

So what do you suggest then?
Do i let them pair then remove the rest or take some out now?
I have other tanks so its not a problem

Keep one or two pairs in there , then move the others into different tanks. Got any pics , if so, i can sex them for you.

Not at the moment, they are really fast and i cant get a good pic
Some of them are really red bellied and others are slightly pink and some are white bellied
I was told red bellied are females
If thats right then i have 3 males and 7 females

Males:
Stream Lined body, like a torpedo.
Red Stomach, but not dark red.
Long fins( sometimes shorter, but in most cases long!)
Thick Black Bar from nose to tail.
Blue Pelvic Fins

Female:
Shorter bodied.
Deep Stomach
Deep Red or Purple Colored stomach
Golden Fin's ( thats a Biggy)
Purple or Red Pelvic Fins
