I've got a hydor koralia 750 for my 120g tank. What would be the best way to place it?

I find it's so strong kicking up all the sand. Am I supposed to place it all the way at the top facing down... or on the bottom facing up?

The top is the easiest place to put it. The sand wont get kicked up and fish won't tire out by swimming against current. (Some like it)

Near the top facing the front glass would produce the best circulation
