What kinds of cichlids could be kept with kissing gouramis? Blue acaras, convicts, geophagus, etc?

What tank size do you have?

a Blue acara or a Severum could be a possibility, as could Festivums, Kribs or Keyholes.
Some species of Geophagus may also work.

In a large tank i would have no trouble keeping a single convict with a decent sized kissing gourami.

I was just wondering......Because they were some of my mom's chilhood day's fishes.

I heard kissers are actually rather aggresive.....So keeping them with rougher SAs or mellower CAs are besT>>>>>And perhaps it;s true :)

Thanks!

Kissing gouramis can get to anywhere between 6 to 12 inches and mature fish can be quite territorial, so tank size would need to be known in order to give you a better idea of what you could keep with them.

This list i gave in an earlier post are all fish that are quite 'mellow' as far as cichlids go and shouldn't really trouble a mature gourami
