Snails. They really are kind of cute, but they chew up all my plants. I'd like to keep some, but they multiply a lot.

When I've already gathered up the snails, I have no idea what to do with them next. Copper death seems long and painful, and I really can't SQUISH them. I feel like I'm cruely murdering tens of innocent, sweet snails every night. I know not to wash them down the sink or toilet either. What is a good way to kill them that's quick, easy and painless? :c
Is squishing really the best route? Please help, o knowledgeable ones!

Toss em outside.

Ok. I don't know all their names, but I have some bamboo, an onion looking plant, ferns, some red plants, those floating horn- things, sword grass, and some other plant that has fan-laceish looking leaves. Mostly they eat the fan-lace-ish things, the onion thing, and the ferns.
I'm feeding them a little less, but I have some fry [x8] that escaped/are too fast and tiny to capture, so I crumble flakes and let them sink for the little ones.

Most of the snails have little spots. Some of them are white spotted. The biggest ones I have are about 5-7 mm.

Can anyone tell me how fast do assassin snails reproduce? And what I can do with them once I have too many?

Well, my problem isn't taking the snails out. Putting them in compost or just throwing them outside... ouch! :c
Clove oil. Is it a sedative? Do they die immediately? I've heard about it before, but for the fish.
I'm not sure about crushing snail and feeding them. And its still crushing. All my fish are picky and only eat Omega-3 flakes or bloodworms. Nothing else. Except for fry, and algae if you count that.

Thanks for all your help guys c:

Are you sure that all of your plants are aquatic? Post pictures in the planted section to get some ID's, the chances are that your plants could be rotting due to not being aquatic.

No, I'm sure they are all aquatic. I checked on right after I bought them, when I still knew the names.
