could i keep killifish with a betta and 5 cories in a 15 gallon tank? how many could i keep?

Well I think it would depend on the type of killifish you're getting for one thing. Some of them are more flashy than others and there's a chance it could set the betta off. I've never personally kept killifish so I'd wait for somebody else to reply who has had more experience :).

Depends on the Killifish species... What did you have in mind?

not too sure which type, something cheaper and smaller

Steer clear of Golden Wonders (Aplochelius lineatus Gold) if its cheap and chearful you were thinking of.
I would go for Ps. annulatus (clown killi, rocket panchax)

Sorry to jump in and ask my own question. But, isn't it killifish that are generally pretty short lived? Around only a year or so?

Not all Killifish are annuals as you suggest. Infact there a great deal of Killis that arn't. The can be loosely catagorized into Non-Annuals, Semi-Annuals and as you have already mentioned Annuals.

That's what I kind of guessed, but wasn't sure since that wasn't what I've heard. But, we always are reminded you can't believe everything you've heard . But anyway, thank you for the information :good:
