Killer On The Loose

Myxazin by waterlife.
Thanks for all your help wilder i think its a case of over treating my plan of attack is to do a partail water change/gravel vac tommorow, then another on saturday hopefully this should give it a good flush out then treat for fungal/ other nasties on saturday night (assuming i dont loose any more in the mean time0once again any more tips will be greatly apreciated.

Plecs are scaless fish and can not tolerate salt as it burns there skin.
If you have had popeye and fish are still dying sounds like you have a bacteria infection in your tank, i would add a bacterial med to the tank.
Remove the salt with water changes.

There is absolutely no evidence that this is true, I've seen Plecs in brackish water, they may not have any scales but they have very strong scutes that are just as effective if not far more so than scales.

Sounds like a good idea, but I cannot guarantee that it will stop the fish from dying. Kepp on rehoming the surplus stock

Rehomed frogs as I saw it leaping mouth agape towards a fish done partail water change so any tank tonic in there now should be very diluted. Will monitor it over next couple of dayts then do partail water on sun/monday so all water then should be new.

Ok, good luck.

When it rains it pours, good luck.

I'm not saying it isn't a disease that's killing off your fish, but some shrimp do attack and kill fish as well. Do you know exactly what type of shrimp you have?

TBH i hardly ever see the little critters and there is no sign of injury on the fish that are dying now only the ones i found at the start of the trouble but then found it was my plec.As far as i know there amano shrimps and all they do is sit behind the canister filter and wait for the crap to be sucked up there way every now and then i see them.

Heres a pic i found
