Kiler snail????

well i went to check on my tank about an hour ago. everything is fine. i went in 5 min ago, and i see my iridescent shark pinned up against the wall of my tank with my apple snail chomping down on him!!! is there any way possible for a snail to inflict a wound on a fish ?? or was it simply taking advantage of anothers kill?? i curently had 2 iridescent sharks (1-2"), a flame gouraimi(1.5") and a apple snail(2inch diameter of shell) my tank stats are nutral and it's a 10gal tank. (yes i am aware of the size of an iridescent. i'm planing of moving them up through various tanks as they grow. except i only have 1 now.....)

and also i noticed his tail fin had chunks missing... (how did this happen so fast?)

The snail was just taking avantage of the carrion. Something else killed the fish.
