Kgbettas

I may cool off soon, but Im really disgusted with Kgbettas right now. I contacted them on Monday asking for two bettas to be held for me - I wanted to buy them 100%, and asked for the sex of two others I really liked too. I did so three ways - direct email, submitted an enquiry form and also by the 'contact us' link. I received no acknowledgement of my intended purchase and the fish remained available. I assumed there was a backlog or perhaps the owner (Kevin I think) was simply busy with xmas stuff and would process or reply to me eventually. Now I see the fish are held for other people and I am truly gutted, I really really liked those fish and had held the website in high regard. I even ordered a credit card for that website only. Is it regulars only this time of year, is there a 'click group' or inner circle of UK breeders that I can never breech?

I havent ordered from them yet, but i think it works first person comes first it could just be that someone else liked those fish first...

Ive seen a male i want i know i havent got the money and he will be gone after Xmas

Kev will have hundreds of emails about fish, if he has had a back log of emails there's a pretty good chance someone else asked the fish to be held for them before you. I was surprised the other day when I saw there was still quite a lot of fish not being held yet!

Hi got to agree, there isn't a clique or anything like that.

Kev has a full time job and only sells betta's as a sideline.

He will have received a lot of emails and phone messages and will be ploughing through them, big demand for some of those lovelies on his website at the moment. I know that he did have problems with his email system a while ago so there could still be an issue with that, also he is advertising the fish via another website so he has received quite a few hits regarding this new stock of fish.

As for the fish on his website, they will only be a few of the many fish he received so there is still the possibality that there is a lookee likee of the fish you liked.

Which ones in particular were you keen on and I'll see if I can contact him on your behalf ?

My disappointed disgust is waning now and I am starting to see reason in the forms of your two replies - thanks. I feel bad about that first email now. The fish I wanted outright were tanks 31 and 133, and I liked 40, 58 and 59 also. That quality fish cant be gotten here in Ireland, and after 5 years doing a Ph.D. which I finally got last week, I really wanted a self-treat in the form of quality bettas. Anyhow I cant have everything I guess

Whether or not it's a sideline, if you are selling something, then you are selling it and there is no excuse for ignoring people (Lee you are not the only person who has said this) or posting fish late (which has also been said). If you can't keep up with the demand, don't sell the fish. Quite simply.

i know who im getting all my fish from in the future
and her working patrner in crime
i may see what theyre selling after Xmas.... there are amazing fish on ebay last few weeks!
alot of them not selling at the mo cuz cold weather but after Xmas i will be getting a niice HM male or possibley a HMPK or a PK or a CT...... im not fussed im addicted

i sent an email as well it took two days to get back to me but he told me it was because people just cant accept that he get a lot and sometimes he get people email him use contact for and even ring him which make things harder to get through the fish i wanted had gone as well but he did me a super deal on 3 other fish, he also told me he had taken a week of work to get all the fish on the site and also ship out and when they were due to arrive they landed in france as first and the french customs sent them back to thailand because the health certificate was not in french so they were sent out again two days later too him which is why so many fish have damage, so its a bit un fair to treat him like this as i thing he generally always gives a good service, and is alway willing to help with advice and i will get my new fish tomorrow..

Just want to let you know that Kevin from KGBettas has contacted me and has been very nice, and hopefully I will be getting some fish from him. There is obviously alot more interest and popularity to his business than I realised, I can only imagine the amount of emails he has to trawl through, especially at this time of year. Thanks also to the helpful nature of Amerce! Happy Xmas all
