Hi all

I have a 33 US gallon tank Jewel Rio 125 and i have 2 keyhole cichlids amoungst others.

My question is how long do they take to become fully grown? I have had them about 10 months now and the biggest one is only just about 2 inches.

I read here that they can get quite large?

Thanks

From what I have heard, Keyholes can take ages to grow. Maybe getting a food higher in Protien Content will help him along. Frequent water changes and higher tank temp will help aswell.

I got my keyhole in nov and they were almost 3" then he is 1/2" bigger and now the big boss of the tank and has bullied his friend to death. He is in a 36 gal tank with 5 old rasbors and a bn pleco and an old clown pleco. I caught my keyhole "carl" trying to pick on my bn pleco. They get along now but I got a fresh one.
