This is still in the planning stages but I thought I'd document my progress for the benefit of others.
Setup:
Equipment:
35 Litre arcadia arc tank
Tetratec ex700
11 Watt Compact fluorescent fixture
Hardscape:
Drift Wood
ADA Sieryu Stone
Sand
Livestock:
2 x Dwarf Puffer Fish
Possible an assortment of shrimp, will start with cheaper species as I'd hate to buy expensive species and have them eater.
Various aquatic plants from India

The tank is currently set up in this way: http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?/topic/356941-my-setup/

I plan to do something similar, but without the moss carpet, I'll be keeping the Java Fern, but may shift it into the middle of the tank, or on third over, as I cannot stand the symmetrical look.

Sounds like a cool setup, I like the arcadia for little setups like puffers or shrimp or beta's.

Id love some dwarf puffers :) i think they look awesome, but they need alot of space and can be nasty.

Not the most interesting of updates but tomorrow I will be going to see if I can find two Dwarf Puffers, got my plants ready, they've been growing emerged for the past 2 months, some rapid growth from the Crypts and the Microsorum, will do a step by step set up guide sort of thing tomorrow if I manage to get hold of the DP's.

By the way, if anyone wants some free moss, PM me your address and I'll post you some.

Got the puffers today, they're tiny! Also sort of set the tank up, not happy with the layout, pictures tomorrow!

Just waiting for it to go dark, then I can get the camera and other equipment out.

Here we go, a FTS

Plants and wood etc only thrown together temporarily, letting them settle in before I adjust it.

A poor image of one of them, they're really skittish still, I'll get some better pictures as soon as they've settled better.

looking nice, good bit of Java in there. :good:

Awww, dwarf puffers. I like them. Always wanted to keep them. I see some potential with the java placement.

One of the puffers is looking a bit iffy this morning :( Can't get it to feed either, the other one is just pecking at it, might have to replace it.

The lil' fella gave up :/ :rip:

I will find a replacement tomorrow, I also started worming today, hoping to pick up some more plants tomorrow too, I'm after some Pogostemon helferi and Hygrophila poly sperma, as well as kit to start my own live food cultures :)

Probably underfed (not by you, of course) or had an infection. Sorry. Some nice additions to the plant list. You know, BigC over at the killifish section here has some fabulous articles on live cultures. You might want to read them. Tolak is great with live cultures too.

Thanks, I took a read of the cultures list, currently got some Brine Shrimp and Daphnia cultures going, hoping to get Black Worm cultures going also, I replaced the fella, and introduced some snails this morning, he's got a sunken belly also, but he's feeding which is a good sign, couldn't get any plants so I'm going to try again in a few weeks and if that fails I'll buy online or from someone on here.

Thanks
