Sorry for starting loads of threads

Going to get some RO Water on the weekend, i only have 2X10L containers, so is it ok if i get 20L of RO water, pop it into my tank (as it is) then get more water the following week? Or will i have to salt it and heat it?

Will have to wait for funds for the last few pieces of equipment... (LR, Refractometer and salt)
thanks! :good:

when i was looking into marine i asked the guy at Shirley aquatics this, and he said "how long would you leave a bottle of water standing before you think its too bad to drink?"

good point really lol

If its open to the air, you are best to salt it as soon as its opened. RO draws polloutants from the air quite quickly. It should be ok in an air tight container for a bit though. Your best bet would be to add some salt and a powerhead leaving it circulating for the week.

If i were you i would save up and buy the salt, other bits and bobs and have the money for you LR ready. Then fill, salt and heat the tank all ready for you live rock - whcih you can pop out and buy.

All our LFS that supply RO allow you to borrow drums for transporting the water on a deposit basis.
