Keeping Females With Male?

now now guys, we are all entitled to post our opinion/experience

when i first started i kept a pair in a community and had no problems, now i am more experienced i wouldn't advise keeping the two together.

saying that i have a feeling one of my 'females' is 'male' though there is no major aggression (just fin flaring) so am leaving them be for now, but keeping a close eye on them

No need to "Prove him wrong" he was just giving some advice. Upto you wether you take it or not. I have found everybody seems to have different fish experiences anyway its just what you can make work.

Yeah me too.
"Don't keep more then 1 male convict together" i had 3 live together for 5 years, no problems.
There are no written laws in fish keeping, its based off experience.
of course you do need your parameters kept in check and definatley need water
