Juwel Rekord 90 Light

Hi i would like to change my tanks light but not sure what to get.
it is a juwel rekord 90 (monolux 80) dose anyone know what type of tube it is think it is t8?
And is there any light which will help plant growth (hight output)?

Hi - if you go into to plant section there will be Qs abd explanations on different bulbs for plant growth. T8 would be good for your tank, if you are also running CO2. If not, then a standard Juwel bulb will be fine.

Hi thanks for the reply. i have had a look in there and theres not much. i looked on google and its a t8 18w and measured it at 22 inches ish. i dont have a co2 kit (yet) so will just buy a basic light.

no probs - juwel have odd sizes, i wasnt able to find a bulb which wasnt an actual juwel bulb to fit my rekord. so just g straight to the juwel bulbs lol

ok you need a 590mm bulb. warm light are nicer than day light in my opinion

you can try local places - just give them a ring to see if they stock them.

The day bulbs are more like natural daylight, and dont emphasise colour. the warm ones bring out the colour in the plants and fish. they have kind of pinky glow.
