Juwel Rekord 120 - Marine Conversion

I am glad to see someone actaully taken there time & putting a bit of thought into there setup, far to rare on here recently

Seabrays are well built tanks :good:

Have you read the Pinned Anemone post in the Invert section, this will give you a lot of usefull information so you can make an informed choice regarding keeping a healthy anemone

:D thank you :good:

I actually had lots of fun yesterday planning it all out.

Just finished the final touches to my RO unit in the garage, goes into a nice big dustbin which has a heater and airstone in it.

just flushing it all though now.

I can't wait for the tank now

PS i have read that topic but i will read it again and again.

Also ordered 2 x 6045 Tunze nanostreams for extra flow

1 - Make sure the 'bucket' you are using to store your RO is Food quality
2 - what is the heater & the airstone init for - if this water is for the initial fill then I woul add the cold RO to the tank, heat it then add your salt
3 - Nano Streams hmmmmm - I was thinking of ordering these but there is a major fault with them in that they are know to rust , there are threads regarding problems with nanos on many other forums, it has stopped me buying them

1 - its a dust bin that i've cleaned out about 10 times. Surely that must be ok as its plastic?
2 - for when i mix salt? after the initial fill it should be the same temp as the tank?
3 - Aparently the faults had been address and fixed, the guy mentioned this to me and he says he uses them on his home tank and as far as his concerned they are the best u can get. I've know him for years and trust him 100%, well he certainly knows a lot more than me

I am certain they have not sorted out the issues yet as I know some guys on other BB's that are waiting on a responce from Tunze but the problems are still occuring in new models

right the tank turned up on friday. Spent the weekend painting the back and setting it up. just finished filling it with RO water (has taken all day) and plumbed it all in.

I'll let it get up to temp and add salt during the week. Bit pissed off as my brand new eheim has a broken impeller :( so will be phoneing the shop tomorrow!!

some up-to-date pics.
