Juwel Poly Filter Pads

I've heard alot of people buying big rolls of it and cutting it themself.
My LFS even sells it so u can cut it yourself, never priced it up though lol.

This is probably what that guy on eBay does!

There isn't anything special about branded sponges and poly filter, you're just paying more for the brand name and a perfect fit.

It's like anything, it's always half the price or less with out the brand name. Just thought I would see if anyone else used them or thought they were un-safe or what not. Seems pritty good to me, shall buy a pack today

I bought a huge sheet (~3x2 feet) of Koi Filter Wool last year for ~£10, I cut it into squares to go into the top of the Juwel filter in my Rio240, but then each square is split into two or three layers i.e. two or three changes. This sheet is going to last me years!

I always buy unbranded pads, All you are paying for is Juwel's labour to cut and shape the pads, thats all.

I use non branded stuff. I just rinse it under the tap before I plonk it in the aquarium. I say go for it

I used them on my 350L when i had the internal, i think i posted about them in one of your other threads. There fine and do the same job
