The pipe that blows the water back through into the tank (excuse my bad fish-talk!)

Does it matter what position you have it?:

Pointing up to move the water surface
Pointing down
Pointing straight at the glass?

Just wondering

Cheers

Number one would be the best option in my opinion to help aid with surface movement. :)

plus 1 for this.

I have mine at about a 45 degree angle upwards towards the back of the tank. Personal preference I think?

My jewl one is 1000 LPH pointed up is like a tidle wave accross the tank so i angle mine towards the front, also to much surface movementis not good for heavy plated tanks :good:

Haha no one ever knows what these are called, i had to find them one time as i lost mine, i think they are called diversion nozzles.

You actually get two in a pack dont you? I have the first one pointed up, then the second on top of that one pointed across the tank, only because the power of the pump does make my plants stand at 45 degrees lol so the way i have it heightens the flow direction

Dont you have a trigon Schottay? In the rios you get a sort of rectangular circular motion with the flow, which seems the best, as ive tried it a few ways, but im unsure with the trigons

The thing i would say is that if its pointed up you may lose out on flow

Thanks for the replys!

I do have a Trigon yes, and it's semi-heavy planted, with more to add when they arrive. I have a air stone in the tank so didn't think I'd need much more water surface movment?

I've always had it pointing towards the front of the tank creating no surface movment.

Cheers :good:
