Juwel 180 vision lights wont work

The lights on my Juwel simply wont switch on, ive tried different fuse's. I had noticed the switch had been aking crackling noise when switching on and off. I have cut the wire from the switch and wired it straight to the plug but it still dont work. Is there a fuse in the light fittings or will I have to replace the lot.

So what did you with yours smithrc ? Replace the unit or called Juwel ?

I got a new light filter from Juwel free of charge, just phoned them up said i only had it 8 month posted mine off and they sent a new one. Even though I bought it second hand a year ago

mine broke after about 6 months, took it back to the lfs and got a replacement straight away.
