Here is the latest pic of my 75 gallon. I am about ready to start cycle it. The plants are growing in nicely I think and they are free! I grew them from cuttings from the 10 gallon and the 55 gallon. I have an Amazon Sword that I am going to move from the 10 into it sometime this week. But I haven't gotten around to it yet.

I took the cuttings for the Water Wisteria from the 10 gallon. That plant has just taken off and is growing like crazy in the 10. The Hornwart came from the 55 gallon and it was only single strands when I put it is there. It multiplies and grows like crazy too. Some of it was just little snipets when I dropped it in. Only one of them had any length to it and it was just a single strand. Now it has little branched off limbs. I love that stuff. The other plant is a stem plant of unknown name. But it was mainly just a root when I planted it and it has grown so many leaves since then. I didn't even know if it would live or not.

Anyway, I guess I am kinda proud of my efforts...and my patience...with this tank.

Thank you all ! I must say I am enjoying myself with new tank.

As to stocking, I set it up with Pictus Catfish in mind. They are kind of hard to find in this area, but I am going to try to find some.

If I can't find any Pictus I will probably go with Angel Fish

Thanks cowgirl ! But I am hoping I find them somewhere that will save me all that shipping money. If I can't I may just order from there.

their shipping rate of $20 for air overnight is the cheapest I've seen to ship fish. And if you order over $99 worth of fish or plants, you get free shipping. Cant be any better than that.o

Put that way it does sound more reasonable. But if you only 3 or 4 fish it does not sound as good.

Here is the latest. I got the Amazon Sword put in today. I could not believe the root system on that plant. I thought I would just lift it out of the substrate, but OMG...I was pulling roots from all over the tank it seemed. But I got it out and in its new home.

IMG_2622.JPG I needed to thin out the plants a little in the 10 gallon anyway. I simply cannot believe how those plants have grown in. I don't remember who on this forum first pointed me toward Flourish Comprenhensive liquid and root tabs, but whoever you are thank you, thank you, thank you!

Yeah, these had best overnight shipping...plus a 2 week guarantee if you acclimate your fish like they want you too....which I'm glad I have prime on hand to take away ammonia. Oh well. And I actually did a price check from these guys that included shipping and then a price check at my local petsmart for the same fish....petsmart was still more expensive! I couldn't believe it. Lol. There aren't many reviews out there but the ones I've seen have been good. Yay!

And your tank is amazing by the way! And it will only get better!

If I spent that much on water conditioner I would definitely expect good everything! LOL Wow, that is expensive stuff!

I have had luck in the past with only one plant, in my pre-Flourish Comprehensive days, that did well for me and that was the Amazon Sword. Every other plant always died and did not look good when it was alive really. They just did not thrive.

At the Pet Smart near to me, ( if you can call 60 miles near....) when they have pictus catfish they are 9.99 each. I don't know if they sell a lot of them, or that maybe they sell so many that they sell out really fast...but they are not always in stock for whatever reason. I don't see them at Petco much either. I did see some at Wal Mart once. So I might look there again. The tank was not ready for fish when I saw they at Wal Mart. But they were only 5.99 each there. So getting them locally would be most cost effective for me. Unless of course I wanted a bunch of fish all at once. Then the shipping might not be so bad.
