Just want a fish tank

I knew how you feel with my 40g, planted and wasnt working, so i sold all the equipment that i used for the plants, put the fish in a 25 gal and just got Vallis and Moss. SO i took my 40 g and the extra cash i had and made it into an African Malawi Setup(as you know, and you have one too) Now im happy with it(except for the Yellow Labs), easy as pie. IMO fish keeping shouldnt be hard, you just need to find your forte in it, your safe area.Dwarf New World Cichlids and Dwarf Malawi Cichlids are mine. You shouldn't do something that you dont enjoy.

All my tanks have live plants. I couldn't tell you the name of them, I really don't know! I don't add fertiliser or do anything to help the planst at all and they still grow very well. In fact my 35g is a bit like a jungle right now I had to remove a large grass like plant to make some room! And I still get algea in there, much to the pleasure of the otos.

I tried to post yesterday but it wouldn't let me . Anyway, I completely agree. I thought I'd have a nice, densely planted setup in my 20g. Then I found I only have 0.75 WPG.... I see no point in upgrading, its expensive and the danios can't be stuffed either way.
