Just Some Random Pics :)

Stunning fish, brilliant photos :D.

That red ramshorn pic is beautiful!

Thank you :D

How many babies made it?

I know there are definitely 3 from the first day spawn but there have been more since. These fish give birth to only a few fry each day or two over a period of time instead of a drop of 30 fry in one go. No idea how many have survived since they are in a thick jungle of plants. I only have a pair of adult fish but they do hunt and eat the newborns so I guess there aren't too many.

The very first babies are now sexable and slowly acquiring their adult colours. Here's a 6-week-old. Sorry about the scratched glass

Another pic of the male (he's even smaller than my pygmy corys)

My pictures really don't do them justice. For those interested, these are Micropoecilia branneri and relatively new in the UK (I think).

Those are very beautiful. Would you mind telling me the name? I would love to get some. It's very interesting how they have fry, since most of my livebearers drop all their fry in one go.

Those are some amazing photos! :good:
Thank you :D

They are Micropoecilia Branneri (Branner's livebearer). Quite new in the UK I think. These are more or less the size of endlers.

Sweet pictures, in the first post is that a black tiger shrimp?
Thank you :D That was a pretty old Ninja shrimp (Caridina serratirostris). No tiger or bee shrimps for me unfortunately. I have rock hard water

Sadly, I lost the adult female shortly after a well overdue filter clean :( but hey, the few babies are growing up nicely :D

(For reference, these are the size of microrasboras at the moment)
