Just Set Up My First Tank - Would Like Some More Fish

Hi all, this is my first post here so please don't expect me to know too much yet. I recently(about 1.5 weeks ago) set up a 50 gallon tank in my room. I have a Marineland Penguin Bio-Wheel 350 filter(350gph), Neptune 200-watt heater, and a TopFin UL-60 air pump. So far I just have a huge(7-8") Pink Kissing Gorami from my family's old tank and a 5-6" Needle fish that I bought. I would like to get a few more differnt kinds of large fish, but understand that the Needle fish will be aggressive towards many. I was looking into possibly a Tiger Cichlid, Tinfoil Barb, or anything else big or interesting. I,m mainly looking for some advice on what kinds of fish I can add that will be okay and some advice on general tank care. If the Gorami is going to be a problem I am considering giving to Petsmart for adoption.
