Just Need To Check!

The salt dispute lol, aquarium salt if you feel unsafe of using household salt, there is a tonic salt by interpet which is good, but it's abit more expensive.

Everything i've always heard is you want to use pure salt, NaCl. Table salt has other stuff added to it, most commonly iodine, which is why i've always used aquarium salt. i remember a link showing what other salts can be used, but can't find it. I will post it if i find it

Its amazing how much contradictory info is out there on whether table salt and its additives are safe for aquariums, not to mention whether salt should be used or not  I have never heard of it being safe to use table salt, and have always been told use aquarium salt. Atleast in the US, its really cheap.

Best thing is try and read alot of links, never had any deaths or problems from using table salt, but best to let the fishkeepers decide for them selves, by reading about it.
We all have different opions on it.
That practical fishkeeper article is the best.

Fish are very interseted in the activity of the water change! :D

i'd say that htye were interested in it is a good sign, mainly that they are being curious and allert, not just stressfully darting around. My fish all love to try to nip my hand as i change the water, and play in the bubbles as it is refilling.

Water changed!!!

I'll do my tests again tomorrow and keep an eye, one last question, is it okay to feed them tomorow morning?

And also, many, many thanks!

Er, um: please excuse a silly question but wouldn't more food mean more waste? As in won't the greedy wee fishy things extrude what they can't metabolise?

My poor fish are lucky to be fed thrice weekly as I'm sure I read somewhere it's better to under feed than over feed.
