Everything i've always heard is you want to use pure salt, NaCl. Table salt has other stuff added to it, most commonly iodine, which is why i've always used aquarium salt. i remember a link showing what other salts can be used, but can't find it. I will post it if i find itThe salt dispute lol, aquarium salt if you feel unsafe of using household salt, there is a tonic salt by interpet which is good, but it's abit more expensive.
Best thing is try and read alot of links, never had any deaths or problems from using table salt, but best to let the fishkeepers decide for them selves, by reading about it.
