Just Lost A Corydora =[

Just went downstairs to look at my tank as I added a Pearl Gourami earlier in replacement of one that died yesterday, and noticed one of my Cory's floating, being blown around the current from the filter =[

My water stats are fine (Ammonia: 0, Nitrite: 0, Nitrate: 5, PH: 7.8) and I don't think the Gourami's death from yesterday is related as that was a new addition from monday that never seemed right from the start (wouldn't come out from beneath the filter, literally didn't see the fish hardly until it died). When this happens, what is the most likely cause? Its not an old fish, only had it in the tank a couple of months I'd say?

No weird behaviour, been eating fine, all other fish are fine and presenting no unusual behaviour, just don't get it when this happens?!

Just an off chance but have you added any new fish lately, I'm just thinking may be they were attacked? Like I say just an off chance if not then ignore.

The latest addition bar the Gourami's was my Angel, but it appears to be soft as anything! Doesn't bother with any of my fish unless they get in its area and then it just shoo's them away.
It does go a bit crazy for the algae wafers I put in for the cory's, maybe it got a bit aggressive or pecked one? Not sure
Would there be any other explanation?

Sorry to hear you lost one Such lovely little fish!
Just wondering how big was the cory when you got it, and how long have you had it? If it was already mature when you bought and you've had it a while, it could have been old age?

I wouldn't say it would have probably got much bigger, but I also wouldn't have said it was fully grown?
Ive had the fish probably 2 months? It was a Skunk Cory, I still have 3 more, and they are all acting normally, scurrying around!

Just frustrating as Ive never had such perfect levels and everything (for once) seems to be going ok!! I hate it when you get the odd one that dies out of the blue with no explanation
