Just Looked Into One Of My Fry Tanks

The picture shows a damselfly nymph, and i agree with prankster705 in that i love the invertibrates that live in my area as they are just as interesting as the fish. Dragonflies are one of my favourite animals that live in this country. Awesome creatures!

I see no reason why not to keep damsel/dragon fly larvae

Erm...what about the fact it'll eat fish that are the same size or even bigger than it? I think that's a damn good reason lol. Unless you dont mind sacrificing the contents of your tank to hatch something that you say cant even be kept...

Where did he say it was to be kept with his fish? They are incredibly interesting animals, i think i will keep a damselfly nymph this year just to show you! lol

He found it in his fry tank - I mean, come on - that's not the place to keep a small fish killer really is it? Successful in an aquarium? You betcha, but your fish wont be! And how many folks are going to be willing to set up a tank especially for a dragon fly nymph?

Weirdos like me! hahaha besides they dont need a lot of care, surviving in my garden pond takes hardiness beyond imagining!

But as prankster705 said, each to his/her own i suppose, and the super aggressive and adapted armoured carnivore thing isnt for us all eh?

I didn't say to keep it in his fry tank lol... I said they're very interesting creatures when not kept with fish... and I stand behind that... but than again I'm a little mad I suppose... Indeed I have kept one alone in the past, very interesting creature, agression is part of the interesting things about it...

Yes I had one in my tank not long ago.

We disposed of the little fella down the sink.
