Just How Blue Should My Water Be......

I have no lfs in my area, so I asked my chemist to make up a 12% sollution of Methylene blue for me to trat my Black Moores suffering from slimy skin disease........ Since there is no instructions on the bottle of my homemade brew..... I add to the water until I think it is just about right...... Just how blue should my water be to treat for slimy skin..... should I still be able to see the background..... should I still be able to see the fish...

This is what I currently have, and the fish do not look too distressed........

When I was young and had my first fish tank, this was one of only a handful of aquarium medications, and was used to treat pretty much everything...

We always dosed it fairly heavily like that (sometimes further) it never seemed to affect the fish, just needs large water changes to remove before it stains silicon etc.
