Just Changed To Sand

I took the fish out and put them in bins
turned off the filters
washed the sand (what I thought was) thorougly!

But now the tank is super super cloudy. Should I add the fish and turn on the filters anyway? i did a large water change but it hasn't made much difference.
Help please!

When i changed to sand my water turned a little cloudy, but settled down a few hours later. i kept my fish in and turned my filter on not long after i did the change as the good bactiria will die off.

You could do more water changes it will sort mo,st of it out, it should settle down

stick some filter wool in the filter to catch the fine particles, turn it on and remove the wool in a few days time and rinse it, chuck it back in and admire how clean your water is.

+1 my 220l took 3 days to clear

It will clear eventually. It's not just how well you wash the sand it's how you add the water back in. I did it and couldn't see a thing the missus did it and it was crystal... But then again i am not the most patient of people.
