mate that looks lovely and a good price too by the look of the size of it. how many gallons is it?

should provide years of fun and enjoyment.

are you keeping the cichlids? dont leave without them, if you dont want them just take them and sell them yourself. will make the £200 even cheaper!!

You have not been stupid its looks a very nice tank, although you may have got a new one for around that price. If you looked

No, this is my new planted tank. I don't have a house for the cichlids so I would have to find a seller quick. I will have a word with my local fish shop.

I think it is 60 gallon

Do you really think I could have got one that nice new plus all the equipment for the same price.

That looks like a seabray tank & you wouldn't have got much change out of £300 just for the tank alone.

maybe not actually but I always live in hope. :D

i think you got a bargain! shame i didnt spot it, my family has a house in that part of fife so i could've picked it up  mind you i dont have a spare £200!!
would look fantastic heavily planted with bogwood etc in it! post pics when you've got it all done!

Lucky you my dad is yet to find a van and then travel 45 miles :D

You ain't interested in some cichlids are you. Then we could get rid of them as soon as we get the tank

great deal. if thats solid wood then just the cabinet and wood would of set u back about £5-600

at work we have a 48x15x18 tank in mahogany which is £650.

Right I am having a bit of a problem. I have not yet found somewhere to sell them to. I think that I will have to leave them as I have no idea how to look after them and am not getting much help.

Anyone want them if you are in fife then they can be delivered tomorrow.

The tank is to be planted. I only was taking them to make some extra cash. I am taking them now anyway and will sell them once they settle down. I found that if I didn't take them they were going to have to go through the same amout travelling anyway so I feel it is best if I take them.

I need some more care tips. The man says they go through a tub of fish food a week. Is this true?

Okay so I have got the tank and cichlids home. All are still alive apart from one of the two 2cm fry. All are feeding so I presume they are all right although one or two still look a bit sluggish. The biggest one has started to move the substrate about so he must be feeling at home. The only accidents were I smashed a light tube and my dad broke a handel on the external filter. Luckily both are cheap to replace. I added bicarbonate of soda to the water I added to the tank and now the pH is 8 and the KH is 8 so I think that is about right. I have only got the tank half full at the minute so that at least 50% of the water came from the original tank. I have yet to manage to get the external filter working but that might be because there isn't enough water. I have some pics although they aren't great. I am going to hold on to the cichlids for a week or two to make sure they are all right before I try to sell them.
