Hi

About 3 weeks ago I planted some Jungle Val into sand. I dose daily with Neutro T (5ml going into a 90L tank). I don't use CO2.

Here is a picture of it just now.

As you can see, some of the leaves are brown and dying. I have had to remove a few dead leave over the last couple of weeks. They don't seem to be growing.

Does anyone have any idea if there is something I can do to improve its appearance and get it to grow? I was kinda hoping it would grow to the surface eventually but realise this may take time. I've heard about root tabs and wonder if I should use these, or anything else.

Thanks,

David

Just get rid of the damaged leaves and see how it goes, sometimes it takes a little while to get going, not a plant I've used as not a fan of it but that's what I heard some people having to do, just waiting a bit.

Yea some people do struggle with it, strange plant IMO lol, sorry can't be more help never used it.

That looks like spiral vallis. Cant think of it proper name. This plant is alot harder to grow than the normal straight jungle vallis.
In my experience, the spiral vallis needs a good source of carbon and bright light to thrive or it will continue to melt. Thats just my experience with it.
Someone else may tell you different.

One thing I see in this photo is that (at least the one on the right) you have the bulb buried. These plants need to have that bulb exposed or they will rot and die. Only the roots should be buried.
