Julidochromis transcriptus - Masked Julies

Hello!
So I’ve been searching the Internet for a while now and I can’t seem to find much info on masked julie’s. I know they feed of algae and they are a cave spawner but does anyone know how many to keep together? They form monogamous pairs but I’ve seen they need to be kept in groups of 6 or more. Can anyone give me any extra info on these fish? The tank I plan on setting up is a 40 breeder with a colony of N. Similis. Thank you!

Thank you, I have seen this website I’m just getting conflicting information on wether I can keep them in groups or if I should just keep a pair, some say a pair only due to aggression and being territorial and others say to keep them in groups of six or more. They are pretty expensive where I am so I don’t want to get a group of 6 and when 2 pair they kill off the rest. Have you had any experience with these fish?
