I bought a corydora for my 10 gallon nursery tank just for the fact I didn't have the money to buy more and i wanted something to help with the fallen food.  Now I'm wondering if I made a mistake here. (1) for the fact they school, (2) the fact they may eat my babies that I add.  What is everyone's opinion here besides I should probably get more.  I guess my real concern is will they eat my new fry.  If so I have 2 1/2 gallon I can start the fry in for a while until they stop hiding so much in the bottom of the tank.

Cory aren't known for eating fry, but it's still best to have hiding places for your fry. What kind of substrate do you have? Cory do best on sand; gravel can damage their barbels.

Right now it's gravel and marbles (marbles mostly).  There is like one little plant for the fry to hide in.  The cory dora seems to be doing fine.  And I did bring it up to my hubby that I was worry about the barbs on our new fish.

The corydora will need at least 4 buddies to thrive. It will also need feeding other than the food the other fish eat.
