i was jsut wondering if i would be able to have an oscar and a jaguar living together in a 90 gallon?

I think they would be okay, but im not sure how agressive jags are

At a young age the oscar will pick on the jag untill the jag is large enough to defend its self and when it does it will kill the oscar forsure, my best bet will to be put the jag in first then wait 2months to add the oscar but also add some silver dollars as target fish.

thanks this is just for future plans but i really like oscars and jag's so i would love to have them but i don't want them to kill eachother... anything else similar to a jag that will be more compatable with an oscar?

a jag won't likely accept any tankmates in a 90 gallon tank. jags are extremely territorial and will claim the entire 90 as its territory and any other cichlids in the area will be taken out. I would only keep a mate with a jag in a 90 gallon, and even then it would be best to have a divider on hand just in case the male gets too aggressive with the female.
