Thought people would be interested that at my local fish store they are selling these gorgeous fish i cant remember if they were £3.95 or £5.95 but either way think thats pretty good, all are around the 1 to 2 inch mark with lovely markings they are at BAS superstore in bolton and all look in fantastic condition. There are around 30 of these in a big tank. I went in to try and get a gold Sev but only had one in quarantine.

They are African Cichlids and they are as common as a Convict or a Goldfish!

They are psychopathic though and are not for the impatient fish hobbyist. Me and my jewel go around in circles because of her attitude problem. Hopefully they sell of a bunch of them in that tank though. When they get to be adults they are extremely vicious and they will start to kill each other when they reach maturity. My jewel hates everything that moves.....except my synodontis cat.

Mine gets on fine with all of my other fish. It often snuggles up with my JD in the corner. They have all been there since juvenile size and have grown up together though.

That is probably why. I bought mine as an adult because she was pretty lol....last time i buy a fish cause its pretty...

I love the Lifalli 'Forest Red' Jewels, i'm not a fan of the other washed out looking types.

You can see my jewel here. She is not nearly as bright as some I have seen, but she still has some GREAT coloration. These were taken right after the introduction of some new fish. She got feisty and really deepened her colors. I have never seen her this beautiful.
