Can they live in a 10 gallon all of their life?

No, ideally they need at least 30 gallons. If they are young they might be okay for a short period of time but they will outgrow it and the tank will need upgrading.

No. They grow to around 5 inches each and are quite bulky. Plus can get quite aggressive (apparantly although mine is fine).

i ask because this girl is housing 2 jewels in a 10 gallon, she says there small but she said they can stay their for life

aquella is usually right. I get so annoyed when people ignore her brilliant advice. It even says 'top contributor', and yet they choose to ignore her. RAGE.
